Office Apps on iPad and iPhone Coming Soon

On Apple’s tablet, iPad, Microsoft’s Office application could soon make its appearance: at the Redmond headquarters, the project seems to be underway, with a close eye also on iPhone.

The columns of the newspaper The Daily are clear: it seems that at Microsoft they are working diligently on a new application: Office – understood as the complete suite – could soon be available on all iPads.
Everything is still under development, but according to hypotheses and rumors, the price is around 10 dollars per app, as several will be launched.
This way, the individual user can choose the specific program they need within the Office package, without being forced to buy the complete suite, thus saving money and space on their devices for downloading other apps of greater interest.
Once the Office app for iPad is ready, Microsoft might soon present Office for iPhone as well.
This would mean entering into direct competition with iWork, the suite of products offered by Apple itself. This latter point is the most significant novelty, as Apple and Microsoft are certainly not new to collaborations in this regard: the apps Msn, Windows Live Messenger, Bing, and Wonderwall are already available on the App Store, so this is certainly not the beginning of a new era, so to speak.
According to the previews launched by The Daily, the arrival of Office on iPad could happen within the first few months of 2012.
The race for app store presence by industry giants is increasingly evident: after all, considering only the situation concerning iPad, it remains the most desired and widespread tablet at the moment.
Developing applications for iPad continues to be a key strategy for reaching tablet users.
