Nokia Reading: Reading App for Nokia Lumia

Nokia Lumia devices are now enhanced with the new e-reading application “Nokia Reading”. Here are the details.

The Turin International Book Fair is in full swing, and naturally, it features innovations in digital reading: the advent of ebook readers and the widespread availability of ebooks are changing the reading habits of many people.
Consequently, even a company like Nokia – despite specializing in telephony and seemingly distant from the publishing world – has decided to leverage the Turin International Book Fair to introduce “Nokia Reading“.
This is a useful app for those who own one of the new Nokia Lumia smartphones: by downloading it, users will have access to a range of tools to organize their library at their fingertips on their personal device.
Searching for ebooks is simple and intuitive, as is the purchasing process.
Furthermore, Nokia Reading allows you to read an excerpt of the ebook you’re interested in, enabling you to better evaluate the text before proceeding with the actual download.

In the dedicated store, there are also many free ebooks, so it’s not just paid content.
Among the Italian publishers who have decided to support the project launched with Nokia Reading, notable names include De Agostini, Einaudi, Mondadori, Feltrinelli, Sperling & Kupfer, Giunti, Newton Compton, Guaraldi, 24 Ore, and Piemme.
Nokia has also announced that updates to the Nokia Reading app are already planned: in the coming months, new features will arrive, useful for creating a stream of updated and accurate news according to one’s interests.
