Nokia Lumia 2520, the first Nokia tablet

Nokia Lumia 2520 is Nokia’s first tablet: here are its features and price.

While yesterday we were talking about the new iPad Air and the second-generation iPad Mini, another company was also busy presenting a new tablet.
Nokia has indeed launched its first device of this type: the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet.
The display of this tablet has a diagonal of 10.1 inches, with a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 218 ppi. The screen is made of slightly curved glass, built with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 technology.
All this is condensed into a thickness of 8.9 millimeters and a weight of 615 grams.
Regarding the chosen operating system, it will be Windows RT, while the internal hardware is made up of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, 2.2GHz quad-core with 2 GB of RAM.
The internal memory is 32 GB but can be expanded with a microSD card.
The camera department is also good: the rear camera – the main one – is 6.7 megapixels, with Carl Zeiss optics, as is traditional for Nokia Lumia.
The front-facing camera is 2 megapixels.

A cover with an attached keyboard can also be paired with the tablet: the Nokia Power Keyboard was also presented at the same time, which effectively transforms the device into a netbook.
On its own, the Nokia Power Keyboard costs 149 euros: it must be purchased optionally and separately.
Regarding battery life, the tablet is equipped with an 8000 mAh battery that guarantees 10 hours of full use (with video playback) or 25 days in stand-by.
Combined use with the Nokia Power Keyboard ensures an additional hour of extra battery life.
The release date of the first Nokia tablet in Italy is not yet known, however, it is expected in early 2014, while it will soon reach stores in the United States, Great Britain, and Finland.
Regarding the price of the Nokia Lumia 2520, only the US price can currently be communicated: 499 euros.
