Nikon 1 J1 e Nikon 1 V1 are the two cameras belonging to the system Nikon 1. Here are the main functionalities and features, with attached prices.
Nital has presented Nikon 1, a complete photography system based on two brand-new cameras characterized by their extreme lightness, very compact size, and remarkable shooting and processing speed.
Nikon 1 J1 e Nikon 1 V1 are two compact cameras, but they feature interchangeable lenses, while remaining extremely manageable.
One of the most unique features of the Nikon 1 system is the “Motion Snapshot” mode: it involves capturing a series of images so that they can be replayed almost like an animation. The mechanism combines taking the photo with recording a slow-motion video, in a single gesture. This makes the photo dynamic.
Another function, called Smart Photo Selector, ensures excellent photos, as it manages to take 20 images in rapid sequence, capturing multiple movements. After this, the camera itself will suggest the five best shots.
While sharing some characteristics (including a 10.1-megapixel resolution and the ability to shoot in RAW), the two cameras are different:
- Nikon 1 V1 is suitable for technology enthusiasts and boasts its 1.44 million-dot electronic viewfinder, for clear and wide viewing. The camera body is also made of a special material: magnesium alloy.
- Nikon 1 J1 is easier, more practical, suitable for more amateur use but still of high quality.
Both are equipped with a CX-format CMOS image sensor, which boasts the largest
number of autofocus points in the world and sharp images even in low light conditions; both can also operate in the ISO range from 100 to 3200
(expandable up to 6400 equivalent).
The image processor is called Expeed 3, which uses two highly powerful engines capable of easily processing images at 600 megapixels per second.
Various accessories are available for both cameras:
- Lenses:
– 1 NIKKOR VR 10-30 mm,
– 1 NIKKOR VR 30-110 mm
