Apple, just days before the launch in our country, has released the prices for the new iPad: no major surprises compared to what was hypothesized in the wake of the tablet’s presentation.
The sales launch of the new iPad in Italy is just a few days away, and the official prices released by Apple have arrived punctually.
Meanwhile, according to the press release issued by the Cupertino company itself, global sales have not been disappointing so far: from March 16th – the release day in some markets – to yesterday afternoon, a remarkable 3 million units have been sold.
We remind you that, specifically, the new iPad is already on sale in the United States, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the US Virgin Islands, and – in Europe – in France, Germany, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
This is a result that awaits confirmation in other European countries and in all geographical areas where the new iPad will arrive starting March 23, 2012, such as Italy itself.
It is well known that Apple’s pricing policy is always very clear and rigid; therefore, before the launch of the new iPad in the Eurozone, Cupertino was quick to communicate the selling prices, model by model.
Here, then, are the prices of the new iPad in Italy, available in black or white:
- iPad 16 GB: €479 incl. VAT (€393.97 excl. VAT and taxes)
- iPad 32 GB: €579 incl. VAT (€476.61 excl. VAT and taxes)
- iPad 64 GB: €679 incl. VAT (€559.26 excl. VAT and taxes)
- iPad 16 GB WiFi+4G: €599 incl. VAT (€493.14 excl. VAT and taxes)
- iPad 32 GB WiFi+4G: €699 incl. VAT (€575.79 excl. VAT and taxes)
- iPad 64 GB WiFi+4G: €799 incl. VAT (€658.43 excl. VAT and taxes).
It is widely known and accepted that ultra-fast 4G LTE networks support is not yet active in Europe, unlike in the United States and Canada; therefore, the new iPad will continue to operate on ultra-fast 3G networks, depending on the availability of relevant mobile operators.
