New Apple MacBook Pro: Price with Retina Display

Apple officially announces the release of the brand new Apple MacBook Pro, very slim and with a Retina technology display. The price has also been announced.

While the Worldwide Developers Conference 2012 is still underway, news about the latest Apple innovations continues to arrive: this time, we’re talking about the new Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display.
The notebook has been completely redesigned and evolved – as has its price – to embrace even slimmer and more essential lines.
Its thickness is just 1.8 centimeters, with a weight of 2.02 kilograms.
Simply open it to discover the biggest, most obvious innovation: the new MacBook Pro is equipped with a 15.4-inch Retina display, with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels. This translates to 220 pixels per inch, offering unprecedented Full HD image and video viewing on a notebook.
Regarding the heart of this new model, it features an Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor, with a clock speed reaching 2.7 GHz. This measurement increases to 3.7 GHz when using Turbo Boost technology.

RAM can go up to 16GB in the version we could call “top-of-the-line,” and for storage, it’s worth noting that it uses flash technology, with up to 768GB SSDs.
We mentioned the design change: this is also due to a refresh of the port selection, as Ethernet and FireWire 800 ports are no longer visible. Instead, there are two USB 3.0 ports and two Thunderbolt ports (in the latter case, specific adapters were shown capable of “replacing” FireWire and Ethernet).
As for the price of the Apple MacBook Pro, the starting price is €2,299 for the base model and €2,929 for the model with higher specifications: undeniably significant figures, even for notebooks of this caliber.
