New information has arrived regarding the price of Microsoft Surface, the new tablet coming out: here are the details.
A few weeks ago we reported on the price indications of the Microsoft Surface, according to statements released by Steve Ballmer himself.
However, evidently something has changed since then and therefore the pricing situation has also been updated.
Despite initial intentions to introduce a product that could be defined as “low cost”, considering the prices just announced, it is clear that the amounts are higher than initially seemed to be understood.
Officially, the Surface preorders have started, on sale and distribution from October 26, and thus it has been possible to learn with certainty how much the bill will be to get your hands on the new Microsoft tablet.
The Surface price for the base version (thus 32 GB, without the Touch Cover, that is the portable keyboard) is 499 dollars.
If instead you also want the Touch Cover, the price increases by 100 dollars, thus rising to 599 dollars, always for the 32 GB tablet.
Finally, the Microsoft Surface 64 GB with keyboard (what we could define as the top of the range version) has a price of 699 euros.
In Europe, the base price is around 479 euros, up to a maximum of 679 euros for the most complete and equipped version.
It should be noted that currently Microsoft Surface is effectively the cheapest high-end tablet, considering its features; however, the prices announced at the start of pre-sales are much higher than expected, compared to the initial declarations.
