Kinect arrives in Italy: the Xbox 360 motion controller can already be purchased. Its debut in our country was celebrated with a presentation party organized by Microsoft at the East End Studios in Milan. Here is a summary of the main features of Kinect, including prices.
Revolution in gaming: Kinect is the Xbox 360 motion controller that radically changes the approach to entertainment with video games or “living room” multimedia activities, enabling an even more immersive experience. New diffusion scenarios are opening up for Xbox 360: Kinect allows you to play using your body, meaning that even a guest at home can interact, as there’s no longer a need to use a controller.
- How does Kinect work?
Kinect is a device that doesn’t require connection to a joypad and similar accessories: the player’s movements are perceived in rapid steps. One element of Kinect captures light, the other establishes depth through the use of infrared, recognizing people present near the Kinect. A sensor then processes the movements perceived by a webcam, which transmits them to the chip. There are also four microphones capable of isolating voice from background noise. All of this allows for the immersive experience that requires the use of hands, voice, and the entire body, becoming the protagonists of the gaming experience, whether it’s centered on a game, a movie, or music. - Kinect Price
Kinect is already available in Italy and can be purchased in two versions: for those who already own an Xbox 360, there’s Kinect Adventures, consisting of the peripheral and the Kinect Adventures game, at a price of 149.99 euros. A complete pack – called the Holiday Bundle – is also available, consisting of an Xbox 360 4G, the Kinect device, plus the Kinect Adventures game. In this case, the price is 299.99 euros.
