There might already be an iPhone 5S release date, albeit unofficial: some clues are coming from Japan.
Talk about the successor to iPhone 5 is becoming more insistent. While much has been speculated about its purported technical specifications, the first rumors about its release date are now emerging.
It is learned today that the iPhone 5S will likely arrive on June 20, 2013.
The release date is absolutely unofficial but was disclosed by the French magazine Nowhereelse, which revealed it had managed to uncover an internal document from the Japanese mobile operator KDDI, on which the date of June 20, 2013, is noted in relation to the launch of the iPhone 5S.
Pre-orders could thus start on that day, which, looking at the calendar, could prove to be a rather probable or plausible indication.
In fact, Apple has long scheduled its usual appointment with the Worldwide Developers Conference in June, specifically between June 10 and June 14, 2013.
The technical timeline would allow for the presentation of the iPhone 5S on the WWDC stage and the start of sales about a week after the conference concludes.
However, it must be emphasized that it cannot be stated with certainty that the document leaked online is authentic. Doubts linger, but a degree of probability, precisely due to the near coincidence with Apple‘s June event, would lead one to consider the release of the new Cupertino smartphone.
Finally, on the same document, it is possible to note that it mentions a device equipped with iOS 7 and a 13-megapixel camera.
