The new upcoming smartphone is called HTC One X9: here are the price and features.
The company HTC presented a new smartphone a few hours ago, during an event held in China.
Its name is HTC One X9 and, at the time of writing, it is only available for purchase in the aforementioned Asian country. A launch date for America and Europe has not been announced, but it is thought that the model will arrive in stores worldwide within a short time.
Not all points regarding the technical specifications of the HTC One X9 were exhaustively detailed during the presentation event; however, it is possible to provide a summary that already gives an idea of the type of device we are talking about.
From an aesthetic point of view, the device features an aluminum body, topped on the upper part of the screen by a thin plastic “bar”.
On the front panel, the presence of BoomSound speakers and three capacitive buttons can be noted.
The screen is 5.5 inches and Full HD, with a 5-megapixel camera nearby (with an f/2.8 aperture), while the main rear camera is 13 megapixels, with an f/2.0 aperture. It will be interesting to know that photos can be taken directly in RAW and videos can be recorded in 4K.
As for the technological heart that allows the smartphone to function, there is an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor with a 2.2 GHz clock speed, coupled with 3 GB of RAM.
The internal memory available natively is 32 GB, possibly expandable via microSD card up to a maximum of 2 TB.
Nothing is known for certain regarding the operating system version: it is Android, but it has not been revealed whether it will be Android 6.0 Marshmallow or Lollipop.
Connectivity is ensured by WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac dual band, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and LTE modules, for browsing via fast 4G networks.
The technical specifications are completed by information about the battery: it is 3000 mAh but cannot be removed.
Regarding the price of the HTC One X9, it is understood that in China it will be sold for the equivalent of about 370/380 euros.
It is hoped that the price range will remain the same in the West, as HTC normally distributes devices at slightly higher prices than this.
