There’s no official confirmation, only rumors: **HTC** is reportedly considering launching an **HTC One Mini**, possibly at a low cost.
According to a preview that appeared on the pages of the magazinePhoneArena, HTC is reportedly about to offer a new smartphone, following in the footsteps of its more coveted predecessorHTC One.
There are rumors of an upcoming launch of an “HTC ONE Mini“, as – starting from the design – the similarities with the brand new top-of-the-range model would be considerable.
In practice, this would be a device known until today by the codename HTC M4; if all this were confirmed in the coming weeks, we could be looking at a mid-range smartphone in terms of hardware, with a price reduction that would allow the purchase of a sort ofHTC One Mini low cost.
Indeed, for the hypothetical HTC One Mini, there’s talk of a 4.3-inch display in Full HD (720p resolution) and a camera with an Ultrapixel mechanism. Furthermore, the processor would be a dual-core, but it’s not possible to reveal any more precise or detailed information yet.
It would still be an Android – probably version 4.2 – running on 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.
The only other leaked detail relates to the battery: there would be 1700 mAh available.
The news has not received confirmation from the Taiwanese company, but it remains quite interesting: HTC Onehas garnered significant attention from industry insiders and users interested in purchasing.
Furthermore, it will be interesting to see if a hypotheticalHTC One Miniwill be able to capture new customer segments, also following the results already achieved by other companies that have proposed similar initiatives. Samsung, for example, has been accustomed its customers for some time to the release of “mini” versions of its top-of-the-range models.
The trend is therefore not new, and although it may not excite enthusiasts of innovation in this field, it does cater to those with a lower budget but who still seek a smartphone with well-tested and appreciated features.
