has been presented. It is a tablet with a decidedly interesting price, as it is particularly affordable, suitable for those looking for a product that can be categorized in the entry-level range.
Let’s start with its dimensions: as the name already suggests, it is a 7-inch tablet, with a display diagonal of 17.78cm and a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.
The exterior casing is pleasant to the touch, being made of soft material on the back, while the rest of the structure is made of stainless steel.
The Android Jelly Bean operating system interfaces with the 1.6 GHz ARM Dual Core Cortex-A9 processor, so you can imagine a good amount of speed when using the tablet.
1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory complete the picture of the heart that animates this new tablet from HP.
As for the cameras, there are two available: the main one is 3 megapixels, while the front one is VGA.
A micro USB port, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi technology, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack complete the overview of this device.
The audio system is noteworthy, as the Beats Audio system is integrated.
The price of the HP Slate 7will be €149.00 including VAT, as suggested by the company itself.
Update of April 14, 2013: with a press release received by the editorial staff, the company has officially announced a price change for the HP Slate 7. The new price is 159 euros.
