The first photos of the Google tablet, reportedly named Google Nexus 7, have appeared online: here’s what we know so far.

There is a lot of anticipation surrounding the release of the next Google tablet: a few days ago the first rumors began to leak about it, focusing on the fact that it will most likely be the developer event Google I/O to highlight the new products.
Today, however, more concrete leaks about the release of Google Nexus 7, starting precisely from the likely name chosen for the launch of the Google-branded tablet.
The most interesting news concerns the very appearance of Google Nexus 7: some photos of what would be the highly anticipated new tablet have been posted online.
In particular, it was the website Gizmodo Australia that first published photographic proof of the tablet’s existence, allowing us to see its look for the first time and providing a technical sheet.
The manufacturer has been confirmed: it will be Asus in charge of the hardware.
As for the display, it is said – as the name suggests – to be a 7-inch 1280×800 pixel screen with IPS technology.
The processor will be a 1.3 GHz Tegra 3, a quad-core working in combination with a 12-core GeForce GPU: a pairing that is quite impressive.
Regarding the operating system, it currently seems confirmed as Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a brand new release from Google.
Probably the biggest drawback will concern the camera: it will have a 1.2 megapixel one, decidedly too low for a latest generation tablet.
Finally, it is learned that two versions will be available: 8 GB and 16 GB, offered at competitive prices.
Just as hypothesized here on the pages of FullPress regarding the possible price, it is said to be 199 euros for the first version and 249 euros for the larger one.
Please remember that these are only previews that have not been confirmed by Google: for the official announcement, you will need to wait until Wednesday, June 27th.
