New version for Google Chrome: 8 editions in continuous progression, up to the most substantial novelty of the current release. Google Chrome 8 indeed integrates Pdf Reader.
Google Chrome 8 focuses on Pdf Reader with its new version released just a few hours ago. Thanks to this innovation, it will no longer be necessary to download Adobe Reader beforehand, as the full integration between Pdf Reader and Google Chrome 8 will allow viewing PDF files as if they were normal HTML pages.
Those already using Google Chrome just need the automatic update. If not available, simply check the program manually for an upgrade.
For those just now approaching Google Chrome, the official address to install the browser is google.com/chrome.
Existing users will be glad to know that Google Chrome 8 also features another substantial security innovation, actually there are 800 novelties: as many as the bug fixes done between the previous version and the one just released.
Google is also laying the groundwork for the release of the new operating system, as Google Chrome 8 includes support for the Web Application catalog: from here to full integration with the future Chrome OS is a short step.
Buds of innovation are also noticeable regarding the connection to the Android Market: the system is improving in anticipation of the Android 3.0 launch. It’s easy to think that Google Chrome 8 is the appetizer ahead of the main courses: namely the new Android and web applications.
So, while Google launches Chrome 8, usage estimates for Mountain View’s browser also arrive: Google Chrome is popular, so much so that for the first time in its history it reached a 9.26% share among users. A result that might mean little to many but is actually very interesting: since February this share has seen a clear doubling. Sure, the climb toward the much more used Explorer is far from accomplished but what strikes is the speed both in the development of new versions of Google Chrome and in the spread of Mountain View’s browser.
