Getac launches fully rugged ZX70 Tablet Getac

7-inch touchscreen with direct sunlight readability, extended working battery life, Android 6.0 operating system, and IP67/ATEX Zone 2/22 certification, all of this allows this tablet to be suitable for specific uses and to reach new levels of mobility, convenience, and performance.

Designed to meet the ever-increasing needs of transportation and field service professionals, the new ZX70 is a 7-inch fully rugged Android tablet designed for easy one-handed use in demanding environments. The fully rugged device is IP67 and MIL-STD 810G certified and boasts a class-leading battery that allows it to be taken wherever needed. The ZX70 is also protected by Getac’s industry-leading three-year bumper-to-bumper warranty.
The ZX70 runs Android 6.0. Its familiar interface makes the tablet easier to use and gives access to millions of apps in the Google Play Store. Since it runs on an Android platform, new apps can be developed and downloaded for use.

“The ZX70 was designed with field professionals in mind and is one of the most compact and mobile rugged tablets we’ve ever made,” says Rowina Lee, Vice President of Global Sales & Business Development Centre at Getac. “Its fully rugged features, one-handed usability, extended battery life, and Android platform are ideal for working in the most challenging environments.”

The ZX70 features a 7-inch IPS display that is readable in direct sunlight. Its ultra-bright 580 NIT screen, another industry-leading component, enhances readability in tough working environments, further improving productivity and efficiency in the field.
Responding easily to every touch, revolutionary LumiBond® 2.0 technology uses a clear optical resin to bond the glass display, touch panel, and LCD into a single, more durable, and more readable unit.
LumiBond also offers better contrast and more vivid colors than any other screen mounted on a rugged tablet. Two advanced touch features (Touch/Rain mode, Glove or Pen) and the included hard-tip stylus allow for more precise signature capture and annotation on drawings, maps, and documents. Long battery life is crucial for field technicians who often work in environments far from power outlets.

The ZX70 offers the best performance in terms of battery life and the necessary autonomy to move freely without fear of unexpected downtime or reduced productivity.

The tablet includes a Full HD webcam for convenient video conferencing, training, and field diagnostics. The 8 MP rear camera (with autofocus and flash) takes high-resolution photos and is ideal for capturing data and documenting field conditions. Together, the two devices offer a compact solution for remote communication and information sharing with technicians in the office or elsewhere in the field, directly from the worksite.
The ZX70 is designed to be a purpose-built tool and boasts a wide range of configurable options suited to the work performed by field technicians, including dedicated GPS + 4G LTE mobile connection, WiFi and BT, barcode reader, and NFC/RFID. The tablet has 2GB of storage, expandable to 4GB, and a microSD card reader for ample storage options, as well as being an excellent solution for data backup and protection.

Hazardous location certified, the ZX70 fully rugged tablet also offers the option of ATEX and IECEx 2/22 certification for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Getac is synonymous with durability, and the ZX70 is a testament to that. Conforming to MIL-STD 810G standards for drops of nearly 2 meters and IP67 for immersion in liquids up to 1 meter for 30 minutes and resistance to extreme temperatures from -21 °C to 60 °C (operating) and -40 °C to 70 °C (storage), the ZX70 is therefore the ideal tablet for field professionals.

The ZX70 fully rugged tablet is protected by the industry-leading three-year bumper-to-bumper warranty that covers everything, including accidental damage.
