“Games Week” in Milan is the fair dedicated to the world of video games: among novelties, conferences, and previews, the MiCo will become a huge arcade suitable for enthusiasts of all ages.
The appointment for game enthusiasts is already set: from November 4th to 6th, 2011, “Games Week” will take place in Milan, entirely dedicated to the video game sector.
During the event, held at the MiCo, previews, novelties, themed shows will be presented, and it will also be possible to participate in challenges and tournaments.
Both industry giants (from Nintendo to Microsoft, to Sony) and companies working on new video games, led by Ubisoft, EA, and Activision, will be participating.
The formula designed for Games Week is a mix that considers the needs of industry players and professionals, while also ensuring fun and content for simple visitors and more avid gamers.
At the heart of Games Week, there will be several previews, or more precisely, national previews, as most major announcements were already made at E3, the global reference point for gaming lovers.
This year, the Italian video game fair is particularly geared towards families. Appropriately, areas suitable for everyone have been prepared, with shows and events also recommended for children; games with more explicit or violent content will not be accessible to minors, respecting their age.
Furthermore, special family packages have been put in place to save on the entrance ticket price: 18 euros per family, instead of paying 10 euros per full-price ticket (5 euros for a reduced ticket).
The organizers’ initial estimates project around 60,000 attendees over the three days of the exhibition, during which it will likely be possible to try out for the first time in Italy the PlayStation Vita console, releasing in Japan in the coming days.
An extensive and comprehensive event, therefore, is about to kick off at MiCo; the entrance is located at Viale Eginardo, Gate 3.
