An all-inclusive package: the LG Optimus Sol, at a mid-range price, includes a series of very useful accessories for its overall functionality.
Presented at IFA 2011 in Berlin, the LG Optimus Sol is positioned in the mid-range price segment, considering the smartphone market overall.
What immediately stands out is its equipment: several accessories are included in its packaging. Often, in fact, it is necessary to purchase certain conveniences later, but not in this case: a 2 GB memory card, USB data cable, travel charger, and earphones are included in the price.
Regarding technical specifications, the LG Optimus Sol runs on a 1.00 GHz processor, with 512 MB RAM, 2 GB ROM, and the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.
The screen is an Ultra AMOLED with a 3.8-inch diagonal which, as LG assures, is particularly brilliant, so much so that it has given the smartphone its very name (Sol, meaning Sun).
The thickness of the LG Optimus Sol is 9.8 millimeters, housing two cameras: the main one is 5.0 Megapixels, capable of shooting HD video. The secondary camera is the front-facing one, designed for video calls and videoconferencing on GTalk.
Connectivity is ensured via Wi-Fi or HSPA 7.2/2.9, with a browser compatible with Flash 10, for an unrestricted browsing experience.
Two color options have been chosen: Black and Titan Black, to ensure an elegant and discreet design for the device.
On sale for a few days, the LG Optimus Sol was launched at the recommended price of 299 euros.
