Fujifilm Italia is touring Italy for the X Revolution Tour. Following the tour, professional photographers will act as instructors, along with photo editors and their staff. The cities: Catania, Florence, Padua, Turin, Rome, Cagliari, Naples, Bari, and Milan.
Bringing photography and photographic culture around Italy is the ambitious project that Fujifilm Italy has been successfully pursuing for some years now. In 2016, from May to November, it will travel through major Italian cities with X Revolution Tour, a traveling and free event, open to the public, dedicated to enthusiasts and professionals seeking insights and eager to exchange information, ideas, and news in their own and others’ photographic fields.
Fujifilm X Revolution Tour will start from Catania on May 29th, continue to Florence on June 11th, hit Padua on June 18th, move to Turin on June 25th, then resume in the fall with two days in Rome on October 8th and 9th, and October 22nd in Cagliari. Next will be Naples on November 5th, it will stop in Bari on November 12th, and finally conclude in Milan on November 26th and 27th.
All stages of the tour will be enlivened by professional photographers, photo editors, X-Photographers, and Fujifilm staff and will offer a wide range of meetings that will alternate throughout the day, from 10 am to 6 pm, to satisfy the diverse curiosities of participants and to touch upon and delve into various photographic themes.
ProgramFujifilm X Revolution Tour
A program with a distinctly photographic flavor characterized by seminars, technical meetings held by the Fujifilm Staff, technical workshops set up on photographic sets, portfolio reviews held in collaboration with the photo editors ofEyesOpen! and theEthical Photography Festival of Lodi for all stops, except for the Catania event, where the reviews will be entrusted to the curators of theMed Photo Festival, for which Fujifilm is a sponsor. This festival, in its eighth edition, involves several provinces on the east coast of Sicily, offering meetings, workshops, seminars, and portfolio reviews. On May 29th in Catania, during the Tour, the winner of the “National Portfolio Review Photographic Contest MEDITERRANEUM 2016” will also be announced, chosen from those who present their work for critical review on May 22nd in the city of Modica and during the Catania stop of the tour.
During the Tour days, there will also be the X Series Touch&Try, where you can try the X-Pro2, X-T1, X-T1 GS, X-T10, X-E2S, X-A2 Compact System Cameras, the line of XF lenses, and the advanced compacts X100T and X70; the Fujifilm staff will be present and available to explain their features, answer all questions about the X system, and provide advice on the best techniques to use.
During all the days, two technical courses on the X Series will also be scheduled, providing an overview of how to use Fujifilm cameras, for those who are not familiar with the “mirrorless” world or want to learn more about the operational advantages the system offers and the guidelines that inspired the company in the creation of the series and the X-Trans CMOS sensor.

Fujifilm X Revolution Tourwill also serve to give greater emphasis to an important milestone achieved, the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the X Series, which is characterized by ease of use and elegance, a combination of functional beauty and top quality, and a successful gamble in the digital sector. Since its appearance on the world market in 2011, the range has outlined a new photographic approach; public appreciation has been steadily growing since the presentation of the Fujifilm X100 compact camera, leading to its consecration with the launch of Fujifilm X-Pro1, the first interchangeable lens mirrorless camera. Since then, the X Series, X Mount cameras and lenses, has rapidly expanded, offering products capable of satisfying every type of photography, of tackling any shooting situation – street reportage, sports, studio, fashion – also thanks to the range of FUJINON lenses which boasts 21 lenses: from an ultra-wide angle to a super telephoto, including five bright prime lenses.
