Firefox 4 Release Candidate: Download Ready

Firefox 4 Release Candidate is ready for download: we are finally approaching the official launch of the latest and perfected version of Firefox 4.

After various delays and postponements, Mozilla has announced the release of Firefox 4 Release Candidate: it is now possible to download what is the last version – and therefore almost final – before Firefox 4.
In addition to a significant improvement in terms of speed, the watchword for Firefox 4 RC seems to be “privacy”: it is indeed possible to prevent certain sites from accessing your browsing history.
This is the essence of the new feature called “Do Not Track”, through which you can signal to sites that you do not appreciate tracking for advertising purposes.
Furthermore, the presence of “HTTP Strict Transport Security” is noteworthy, another pro-privacy feature: sensitive data will be better protected, avoiding possible intrusions from third parties during login procedures. This way, the browser will recognize the procedure and establish a secure connection with the server, all automatically.
Even at a purely aesthetic and functional level, Firefox 4 RC has made strides: this version allows for simpler and faster tab organization through the “Panorama” feature, enabling you to group them by topic (for example, by establishing which open tabs are useful for work, hobbies, web searches, etc.).
All of this will allow for “economy”, impacting less on both speed and the time saved for the user, having everything available in a few tabs rather than in numerous open windows.
While awaiting the final version of Firefox 4, which will – probably – be released in April, here is the link to download Firefox 4 Release Candidate.
