Facebook Video is the new section, currently under experimentation, that the social platform intends to launch soon.
Facebook is increasingly focusing on the “visual” entertainment of its subscribers, and today, further confirmation of this trend has emerged.
It has been learned that Facebook Video is undergoing a company testing program.
This is a dedicated section solely for videos, where users will find exclusively this type of content.
In effect, users will find themselves in a sort of new feed displaying videos uploaded by friends or followed pages.
Scrolling vertically through this section will allow users to see previews in chronological order or by “importance” and interest. Moving laterally, however, will allow users to navigate through various collections present in their feed.
Videos can be simply watched or saved for repeated future viewing.
Within these videos – whether from friends and contacts, or from companies and pages followed on Facebook – it is highly probable that advertisements and/or advertising banners will also appear.
Nothing new here: after all, this is what also happens on YouTube, the “father” of all video collection services.
At the time of writing, the news has certainly already been presented by the Facebook staff working on this specific project, but it is not yet visible to most users, let alone Italians.
The testing has indeed just begun and is currently only underway for a selected and small group of subscribers, mostly from the United States, and only for owners of Apple iOS devices.
