The Facebook app for iPad available for download in the coming days: this is the likely novelty to be announced on October 4th, during the iPhone 5 presentation.
Fans of Apple are eagerly awaiting October 4th, the highly probable date for the iPhone 5 presentation. However, it seems this won’t be the only novelty of the day, as attention will also briefly shift to another product that iPad owners have been anticipating for months: the Facebook app for iPad.
We discussed this on FullPress back in late July, when the arrival of the Facebook app seemed imminent.
Today, fueled by the lively anticipation surrounding the iPhone 5 and the likely budget iPhone 4, Mashable reignites the discussion, bringing the Facebook app for iPad back into predictions for the October 4th event.
This is especially true since Jeff Verkoeyen, a developer who previously worked at Facebook and is now with Google, noted on his blog that the app has been ready for at least 5 months.
If confirmed, this would imply that recent weeks have been dedicated to a “diplomatic effort” between Apple and Facebook, seeking mutually beneficial agreements.
While it might seem odd at first glance for Facebook not to have seized the opportunity of a presentation during the F8 conference held just days ago, it must be admitted that perhaps the significant draw of Apple’s new product launches offers an even brighter spotlight to leverage.
