Canon Ixus 125 HS is the other compact camera from Canon’s Ixus range that was presented during CES 2012. Here are its main features, launch date, and the price of the Canon Ixus 125 HS.
Canon Ixus 125 HS was presented at CES 2012 alongside another compact camera we have already covered: the Canon Ixus 500 HS.
In fact, the two digital cameras are very similar, both belonging to the Ixus family, although there are obviously some differences.
Canon Ixus 125 HS immediately shows a 5x optical zoom with a 24-millimeter wide-angle lens and a 16.1-megapixel sensor.
The 5x ultra-wide-angle optical zoom with a minimum focal length of 24 mm aids in shots that require a wider field of view. Furthermore, the support of ZoomPlus technology allows for up to 10x magnification compared to what the 5x optical zoom already provides.
The DIGIC 5 image processor also plays a leading role here, offering excellent assistance even in low-light conditions.
Fast shooting, multi-area white balance, face detection, and Smart Auto functions contribute to obtaining detailed and quite sharp images, as well as videos, which can be recorded in Full HD at 1080p with stereo sound.
To monitor all functionalities and instantly review taken photos and videos, there is the scratch-resistant 7.5 cm (3-inch) PureColor II G high-resolution (460K dots) LCD screen.
Regarding aesthetics, the Canon Ixus 125 HS is offered in pink, red, silver, green, and blue color options, all with bright and vibrant tones.
The price of the Canon Ixus 125 HS is 249 euros, as suggested by Canon, which will release the compact camera starting from March 2012.
