Mid-to-high price for the Canon IXUS 1100 HS, one of Canon’s latest compact cameras. Respectable features and an elegant design that easily fits in your pocket.
Small, manageable, rounded, elegant: visually, the Canon IXUS 1100 HS presents itself this way. Functionally, the first prominent feature is the high speed of shooting and recording. At the heart of this camera is the CMOS sensor, combined with the DIGIC 4 processor and a 12x optical zoom. Wider framings are guaranteed by the 28mm wide-angle lens, ensuring you don’t miss group photos or beautiful, airy panoramas, even in low light conditions: in these cases, the 12.1 MP HS System intervenes. All functions of the Canon IXUS 1100 HS can be easily accessed on the 3.2-inch (8 cm diagonal) PureColor II Touch LCD display with Touch control. As mentioned earlier, speed is one of this camera’s strengths: the high-speed burst mode, for example, exemplifies this. This function allows you to capture images at a rate of approximately 7 3-megapixel shots per second. Similarly, videos can also be recorded quickly, allowing for special effects when played back at normal or slow motion. Regarding the ability to shoot videos, the Canon IXUS 1100 HS allows for good quality Full HD (1080p) recordings with stereo audio, potentially also in Apple’s iFrame format for Mac. The recommended retail price of the Canon IXUS 1100 HS is around 400 euros, but promotions are currently underway, for instance on Amazon, offering a saving of nearly 100 euros.
