Canon confirms the release period of the Canon EOS 70D in Italy and officially announces its selling price.
Canon EOS 70D is officially arriving in Italian photography stores: the camera will be available in our country starting from the end of August 2013.
A significant innovation stands out in the technical specifications: considerable attention has been paid to offering a product that is also excellent for video recording.
The core of this innovation lies in the 20.2-megapixel APS-C sensor, which is noteworthy in its own right for photography alone.
Furthermore, this sensor features “Dual Pixel CMOS AF” technology: this is an innovation capable of activating a new autofocus mode that engages precisely during video recording.
It also works in regular shooting mode, but its performance is absolutely evident and more surprising in videos. In more detail, videos can be recorded in Full HD with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (29.97, 25, 23.976 fps; or, 60 and 50 fps at 720p).
The processor is a DIGIC 5+, and regarding the ISO sensitivity range, it goes from 100 to 12800 (expandable to 25600).
The “control panel” is a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen display, through which it is possible to view the extensive possibilities offered by automatic or manual adjustment.
It is therefore a DSLR suitable for those who already have some experience and, above all, for those seeking a more than good solution for recording videos.
Canon has also announced the recommended retail prices in Italy: there are indeed different combinations, chosen by the user.
The price of the Canon EOS 70D (body only) is 1184 euros.
Packages combining the camera body and lens will undoubtedly be launched as well, but their official prices in our country are not yet known.
