Candy Crush Saga is the now well-known app that is captivating millions of people, from smartphone screens to Facebook pages.
Among the most downloaded and most used apps during break times, Candy Crush Saga deserves a place of honor.
The game, created by the English company King, is indeed increasingly widespread and boasts a player base of over 44 million monthly users.
A true record, so much so that the name Riccardo Zacconi has entered the top 100 most influential people in the media sector in Great Britain, according to a ranking published recently by The Guardian.
Zacconi, CEO and co-founder of King, has indeed positioned himself at 56th place, ahead of personalities such as Google’s Larry Page.
The credit for this great achievement is mainly attributable to the Candy Crush application: widely available on Facebook and downloadable for Apple and Android systems, the game represents the best product – or at least the most profitable – for its creator company.
The objective of Candy Crush is to progress through various levels of increasing difficulty by matching candies of the same color placed next to each other, causing them to “disappear” and free up space to advance.
Nothing particularly revolutionary, one might object; however, Candy Crush is engaging and captivating, so much so that it keeps millions of people hooked every day and generates – according to recent estimates – figures in the order of 600,000 dollars per day.
