The new Kindle Paperwhite is already available for pre-order in Italy as well; here is the price of the new version of Amazon’s ebook reader.
Amazon announced a few hours ago the upcoming release of the new ebook reader Kindle Paperwhite.
The new model will also arrive in Italy starting October 9, 2013; however, it is already possible to pre-order the new Kindle Paperwhite directly on the official Amazon website.
Two versions will be available: you can choose between the Wi-Fi only version and the one with the module for 3G connectivity.
How does the new ebook reader differ from the previous model?
First of all, the screen changes: the new Kindle Paperwhite has a display that offers greater contrast and better light reflection.
The integrated light has also seen variations: this time it is directed towards the screen, to avoid eye strain.
News also regarding the processor which, according to Amazon, is 25% faster than the previous model.
Furthermore, the display’s responsiveness has increased, thanks to a new touch technology.
Various features have been expanded: “Enrich your vocabulary” adds terms that have been looked up in the integrated dictionary. Still in this area, there is integration with Wikipedia entries that can be consulted without losing your place.
Regarding other technical characteristics, it is noted that the battery lasts an average of 8 weeks and the weight of the Kindle Paperwhite 2013 is 206 grams.
The price of the new Kindle Paperwhite is 129 euros for Wi-Fi only, while the version with 3G costs 189 euros.
Distribution of the former will start on October 9, while for the ebook reader with 3G, you have to wait until November 12.
