BlackBerry 10 Arrives Late January 2013, New Features

Late January will see RIM release the BlackBerry 10 system upgrade, simultaneously across several countries worldwide.

The official release date for RIM’s new operating system has been set: BlackBerry 10 will arrive on January 30, 2013.
This significant update will be rolled out in multiple countries worldwide, with RIM opting for a simultaneous global launch of BlackBerry 10.
The event will also serve as the unveiling of two new smartphones specifically designed to natively support RIM’s new operating system. While details about these devices remain scarce at present, we can expect more information closer to their release.
Regarding the new BlackBerry 10 operating system, RIM has announced that a dedicated section of the app store will be available from day one, featuring applications optimized for the new OS. Users will have access to a broad selection of BlackBerry applications, ranging from those suited for purely business use to games, major social network apps, multimedia tools, lifestyle content, information resources, and more.

Among the new features within the BlackBerry 10 operating system is the “BlackBerry Balance” functionality, a tool designed to keep personal and work profiles distinctly separate.
This allows for the encryption of all work-related information while leaving personal data accessible and unrestricted.
Consequently, security is significantly enhanced without compromising the personal use of the device.
The keyboard has also been advanced, capable of learning the user’s typing habits.
Finally, with BlackBerry Hub, all messages, feeds, and notifications are accessible with a single tap, while BlackBerry Flow ensures a smoother and more streamlined navigation experience.
