Apple presents iOS7: operating system revolution

Apple doesn’t disappoint and presents its new operating system, available in the fall: it’s iOS7.

The keynote of WWDC 2013 by Apple which took place a few hours ago certainly did not leave people indifferent: several new features were presented, among which, for once, those relating to the new operating system stand out above all.
It was indeed iOS7 that stole the show, capturing the attention of those present.
The operating system that will arrive on Apple devices starting next autumn is totally redesigned and absolutely attractive.
Starting with the design: even greater simplicity, different translucency, and redesigned fonts will allow the user to approach the available tools with even greater intuitiveness.
It is no coincidence that it was Jonathan Ive who explained what iOS7 is and how it works: Ive is indeed a renowned designer.
iOS 7 will arrive as an update on iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5 starting in the fall; it will also be downloadable as an update, naturally, on iPad (from iPad 2 onwards), on iPad mini, and finally on iPod touch (fifth generation).
As for the most widely used functionalities, it has been decided to group them on a single screen called the Control Center“: a place to manage modes (Airplane, Do Not Disturb, etc.), the clock, the camera, the calculator, the volume settings, the flashlight, and everything else that is most often used by those who handle a device.
Control Center could be defined as the new home of Apple devices, as this will be the first screen that appears when unlocking the device.
Even this very simple gesture will have novelties: you will no longer swipe from left to right to unlock the display, but the swipe will be from bottom to top.

The watchword on the stage of WWDC 2013 was “simplicity”“: the mantra that was announced and repeated – and that already adorns the iOS7 page on Apple’s website – was “simplicity is actually very complicated“, to emphasize how an improvement update for the user’s life is actually the result of a very intense work process, aimed at bringing order to complexity.
In this design change, the desire to allow a more complete and total use of the Retina Display is certainly evident: therefore, more and more space for images and icons themselves, to truly exploit the entire visual surface of the screen.
The premises for observing Apple’s new life, with the helmsman Jobs gone and the products of his last projects no longer present, seem to be all there starting from this event: while the stock markets have shown themselves to be still tepid towards these innovations, the real feedback from the Apple people is awaited, pending the update to iOS7.
Finally, it is recalled that WWDC 2013 is still ongoing and will end on June 14: other news is expected.
