Amazon Mobile Application for iPhone and iPod Touch

The Amazon application is ready, useful for those looking for books and more via iPhone or iPod Touch. One of the most interesting features of Amazon Mobile is barcode scanning.

Amazon is launching its application for iPhone and iPod Touch: it is called Amazon Mobile and has been available for free download for a couple of days.
The Amazon app is in Italian and allows you to shop directly through your Apple smartphone with just a few clicks.
User reviews, Amazon Prime and 1-click services, and even wish lists are also available.
One of the most interesting features is related to barcode scanning: by scanning one, you can check in real-time the price and availability on Amazon of the book or product of interest.
In this initial launch phase of the Amazon Mobile app, you will be able to buy directly from the Amazon websites, accessing the catalog directly managed by Amazon.
Therefore, it is not yet possible to use this application to purchase on the Marketplace, i.e., from external merchants.
A great challenge for Amazon which arrives at a time full of news: while on one hand the online store will have to deal with the Levi Law, on the other hand, it is pursuing its development plans by entering the mobility world with both the release of this application and the upcoming launch of an Amazon tablet.
