To meet the demands of professional users, a dedicated firmware update for the GFX 50S is on its way to enhance usability. For example, compatibility with third-party studio flash controllers will be improved, and new functions will be added, including support for “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO”. This allows users to connect the camera to a computer via USB cable and use it for RAW file development.Firmware Version:

FUJIFILM GFX 50S: Ver.2.00

  • Support for “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO”

By connecting the camera to a computer via USB cable, the “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” software allows users to convert RAW files using the X Processor Pro. Batch conversion will also be possible. “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” can be downloaded for free from the FUJIFILM website.

Improved usability of radio flash controllers

The update allows users to utilize third-party compatible studio flashes, leveraging High Speed Sync or TTL modes, via their radio controllers.

  • Support for backup/restore of camera settings via FUJIFILM X Acquire

By connecting a camera to a computer via USB cable, “FUJIFILM X Acquire” allows users to back up/restore camera settings to/from a file. It is also possible to copy all setting configurations from one camera to another.

  • Addition of “Eye Sensor + LCD Image Display” in View Mode.

The update provides the “Eye Sensor + LCD Image Display” option in View Mode, which enables shooting through the viewfinder and reviewing images on the LCD screen, much like you would with a DSLR.

  • ON/OFF for setting shutter speed in 1/3 stop increments.

The update allows you to disable the Command Dial function for adjusting shutter speed in 1/3 stop increments to prevent unintentional operations.

  • Addition of “Shoot without card” mode

With the update, it is now possible to disable the “Shoot without card” mode so that the camera will not take a picture when an SD memory card has not been inserted.

  • Addition of “-6” and “-7” to the EVF brightness setting

The update will extend the “EVF Brightness” setting options to “-6” and “-7” so that, even in extremely low light conditions, the EVF brightness does not cause distraction.
