Nikon Coolpix A10, Price of a Very Simple Compact Camera

A new compact digital camera has arrived in Italian stores: it’s the Nikon Coolpix A10.
Intuitively placed in the entry-level segment, it’s a digital camera suitable for everyday and very “basic” use, so to speak.
It features an excellent 5x Nikkor optical zoom, while the image sensor is a 16.1 Megapixel CCD.
The monitor on the back is an LCD with a 6.7-centimeter diagonal.

From a purely aesthetic and ergonomic point of view, the Nikon Coolpix A10 has soft, rounded shapes with no sharp corners. This also allows for a very comfortable grip on the camera body.
The camera is compact in size, measuring approximately 96.4 x 59.4 x 28.9 millimeters (excluding protrusions).
In terms of battery life, the compact camera is powered by AA batteries. The product’s launch press release emphasizes how “The use of AA batteries also makes it extremely versatile, allowing you to take pictures wherever you are”.

In reality, in the opinion of the writer, the lack of a rechargeable battery is precisely the major drawback of this compact camera. However, this is a matter of personal preference and individual needs.
The recommended retail price for the Nikon Coolpix A10 is 89 euros, with a choice of Silver, Black, and Red.
