Boomerang from Instagram, app for creating videos with selfies

The Instagram staff has announced the creation of a new app, useful for creating short videos.
These are not simply video recordings, in the classic manner we might expect.
Boomerang from Instagram – this is the name chosen for the new app – instead creates GIF-like videos, using the user’s selfies.
How does Boomerang work?
Nothing could be simpler: once launched, the app will take 10 photos in quick succession.
At this point, the images will be “assembled” to create a very fast video that, with a subsequent click, can be immediately shared on major social networks.
At the moment, for this first launch version of Boomerang, a mechanism to indicate when to start shooting, if you want to pose, has not yet been provided. There is no countdown, therefore, but the developers’ staff made sure to specify that this gap will soon be filled in a future update.
Another element to consider is that Boomerang can function – at the user’s discretion – both through the front camera (the one notoriously used for taking selfies) and using the main camera, for photos with better resolution.

Boomerang from Instagram is very versatile and also appears to be quite “free” – so to speak – since once downloaded from the relevant store, there will be no need to create a specific account.
No login will be required, so the app can be used immediately.
The shots taken in sequence and the resulting video will also remain available, even for future sharing, as the shots and videos will be automatically saved in the photo album of the smartphone used.
Definitely a very intuitive and simple app to use, likely to pique the curiosity of selfie lovers.
