NGM Forward 5.5 is the new smartphone that is making waves for its extreme thinness.
A very thin smartphone has arrived on the Italian market, indeed the thinnest at the moment: it is called NGM Forward 5.5 and was designed by the local company NGM.
The name of the device itself accounts for the record measurement: the thinness of this terminal is precisely 5.5 millimeters, or rather 5.55 to be precise.
From an aesthetic and at the same time functional point of view, aluminum has been used for the body and edges, while the glass is Corning Glass 3.
Regarding the screen, it is a 5-inch FullHD with Super AMOLED technology.
As for the technical specifications, the NGM Forward 5.5 runs on the Android 4.2 operating system but will be soon upgradeable to 4.4.
The processor is a 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek processor supported by 2 GB of RAM and with 16 GB of native internal memory which however cannot be further expanded: this smartphone lacks a slot for a microSD card, therefore the storage is limited.
There are two cameras: the main one is 13 megapixels, while the front camera – the secondary one – is 5 megapixels.
The battery is 2300 mAh, so the battery life should be quite high.
Another drawback, besides the lack of a slot, should be noted: this smartphone is not equipped with an LTE connectivity module.
Given that it is a device that can easily be placed in a high market segment, a more complete connectivity set was expected, especially since 4G networks are experiencing strong development and are certainly no longer considered a novelty or a rarity.
Regarding the price of the NGM Forward 5.5, it has been set at 399 euros, including the smartphone with an additional cover.
The release is finally scheduled for the coming days.
