Some time ago, several owners of the Nikon D600 camera reported a defect: dust accumulation on the sensor, resulting in poor image quality. Amidst rumors and service requests, there were whispers of a possible replacement with other models in the Nikon range. In reality, these reports lacked official confirmation from the company until the release of a press statement addressing the situation regarding defective Nikon D600 cameras. It is understood that these cameras can first be taken for service and will receive special treatment, even if the warranty has already expired: any intervention to resolve the issue of dust on the sensor will be performed free of charge. Defective Nikon D600 cameras will first be inspected, cleaned, and potentially repaired with a brand new shutter and related parts. If the problem cannot be resolved even in this manner, the camera will be replaced with a new D600 or an equivalent model. Naturally, to initiate the verification, repair, or potential replacement procedure for the camera, you must contact official Nikon service centers exclusively.
It is important to note that the possible replacement of a defective Nikon D600 may occur after multiple cleaning and repair attempts, to ensure that the problem cannot indeed be resolved otherwise.
