**Samsung** overvalues old smartphone models with **bonuses up to 200 euros** for the purchase of a new device.
What can a company do if the launch of a new product could be hampered by “internal” competition? This is the scenario that could soon characterize Samsung‘s world: to get sales of the next Samsung Galaxy S5 going, it will first be necessary to clear out stocks of Galaxy S4.
However, many still have perfectly functional older models, and it is precisely to convince these loyal customers that Samsung has drawn up a price list with the figures for the bonus up to 200 euros to be awarded upon purchase of a Samsung Galaxy S4 or a Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
The mechanism for awarding the trade-in value is simple: after purchasing one of the two models, you will need to register the product in the dedicated section Samsung Exclusive.
At this point, you will receive all instructions for shipping your old Samsung to the parent company, which, once it receives the device, will proceed to credit the established amount to your bank account.
To find out the amount of the bonus you are entitled to, depending on the model you will be replacing, you can first consult a PDF prepared by Samsung – translated into Italian – indicating the amounts.
If, for example, you own a Samsung Galaxy S (model GT-I9000), you will be entitled to a 100 euro bonus.
For a Samsung Galaxy S II (model GT-I9100), the amount increases to 150 euros, while for a Samsung Galaxy S III (model GT-I9300) or a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (model GT-N7100), the bonus will amount to 200 euros.
This move is certainly not new (Apple also offers bonuses for purchasing new products in exchange for used ones), but it is certainly interesting for those customers who are hesitant to upgrade to a new device.
