Twitter: Effects and Filters on Photos Like Instagram

Twitter takes a step forward in the photography sector and decides to develop a system for applying effects to photos, much like Instagram.

The resounding success of Instagram has made many players in the social and web sphere realize that sharing and therefore posting photos in real-time is an ever-growing trend.
Twitter certainly decided not to stand by and watch, and besides offering the ability to post photos on its microblogging platform, it has also focused on a system of effects to apply to the photos themselves.
Instead of acquiring a company similar to Instagram, as Facebook has done, the Twitter staff has opted to develop it in-house.
The indiscretion comes from an anonymous internal source that allowed the scoop to be launched by the columns of the New York Times.
Following the news, no one from the Twitter team has commented on the anticipation in any way, which is why it is not even possible to know how much time will be needed to implement and make the system of filters and effects applicable to photographs available.

There are rumors of the experimentation phase starting in the coming weeks, possibly making the feature active only for a limited number of users.
However, there is no certainty in this regard, but the fact that the New York Times, usually highly reliable regarding industry rumors that are later confirmed by facts, is talking about it, gives hope that the project is not only real but also at a good stage of development.
