Nikon announces the release of a new DSLR: its name is Nikon D5200, here are its main features.
It is about to make its appearance in specialized stores and large retail chains, the newNikon D5200, a camera that falls into the segment ofDSLRs.
WhatNikonhighlights, when presenting this camera, is the very high attention to image quality.
It is no coincidence that a 24.1-megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor was chosen, for shots with highly detailed results and for fluid and intense videos.
The ISO sensitivity is also high (100-6,400 expandable up to 25,600 equivalent) to allow for action and shooting even in low-light conditions, a characteristic that is also very useful when capturing fast-moving subjects.
Image processing is then entrusted to the EXPEED 3 image processor, which promises remarkable color reproduction and great speed.
This is also thanks to the tools provided, particularly the 39-point AF system and the 2,016-pixel RGB exposure metering sensor: a happy combination that allows for rapid scene recognition, precise autofocus, and white balance.
The videos shot with this DSLR camera are also precise and of high quality: it is possible to record videos in Full HD (up to 50i/60i) with stereo audio (thanks to the integrated microphone). If desired, an external Nikon ME-1 microphone can also be connected, possibly purchased separately as an extra accessory.
It is very simple to review photos and videos and to customize the use of the camera, selecting the various available functions: the entire display will be available on the 7.5 cm diagonal LCD monitor (therefore a 3-inch) with variable angle. It is a 921,000-dot, tilting, and rotating screen.
The Nikon D5200 also has GPS compatibility, for geotagging photos using the optional Nikon GP-1 unit and also, for quick and intuitive sharing, it is possible to transmit images wirelessly, thanks to the appropriate optional wireless adapter Nikon WU-1a, to make photos or videos immediately available on major social networks and via email, for example. The same system also allows you to remotely control the camera using a smartphone or tablet.
Regarding the weight of the Nikon D5200, it is 505 grams: practical and ergonomic, it is a good ally for unleashing your photographic imagination and creativity.
