Samsung Galaxy Camera: Camera with Android

It’s called the Samsung Galaxy Camera, the new Android camera just presented in Berlin during IFA 2012. Here are its features.

It’s time for new releases and major presentations for Samsung: after highlighting the new Samsung Galaxy Note 2, here comes the Android camera Samsung Galaxy Camera.
Just a few days ago, we announced the release of the Nikon Coolpix S800c, and here’s a more than worthy rival that, unlike the first, features the highly updated Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
Connectivity modules also include Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, Wi-Fi, and 4G (where this last network type is already functional, naturally).
From a purely photographic perspective, the Samsung Galaxy Camera has a 21x optical zoom, a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, and a powerful 1.4GHz Quad-Core processor.
Any function can be selected and applied via the 4.77-inch Super Clear Touch HD display.
Furthermore, it’s possible to apply filters and edit photos directly from the camera, without necessarily resorting to external, subsequent operations.
Another feature to keep in mind relates to saving: by selecting the Auto Backup Cloud function, the camera will be able to automatically save all material, importing it to the cloud. Internal memory, however, is 8GB, further expandable via microSD card.

The storage space is used not only for photos and videos but also, naturally, for downloading applications: being an Android device through and through, you can access the Google Play Store.
Three versions will be offered:
– Wi-Fi only;
– 3G + Wi-Fi;
– 4G LTE + Wi-Fi.
At the moment, it is not yet possible to know the price of the Samsung Galaxy Camera, nor a certain release date.
