Nokia Tablet Microsoft Arriving in Early 2012

Tablets are also in Nokia’s future: the first Nokia-branded devices, in collaboration with Microsoft, could reach stores as early as the first few months of 2012.

While the first Nokia Lumia 800 smartphones, which likely mark a turning point for Nokia’s somewhat stagnant path, are beginning to be sold, it has been learned that the company’s future includes not only telephony projects but also tablets.
At the moment, this is just an early indication, but it is highly probable: it appears that Nokia tablets equipped with the Windows 8 operating system are already under study, and the first model could likely arrive on the market in the coming months, within the first half of 2012.
Paul Amsellem, manager of Nokia France, explicitly spoke about these new development horizons; therefore, the news, though approximate and not exhaustive, is based on an authoritative internal source.
The entry into the tablet sector would be an absolute novelty for both Nokia and Microsoft; especially from the Redmond headquarters, the desire to push Windows 8, bringing it to virtually any type of platform, is very present and felt.
Based on their respective needs, the two companies will certainly try their hand at the “tablet” card, but regarding the target audience, potential price ranges, and specific features of the new devices, the time is not yet right to discuss them, as nothing has leaked.
However, if the Nokia Tablet Windows 8 project is indeed already in the development phase, we should not have to wait long for some rumors to emerge in the coming months.
