Here are all the new features that will arrive with the first Xbox One update, officially previewed by Microsoft.
Microsoft has announced that the first update for Xbox One will be made available soon: the rollout will take place during the current week, a few days later than previously anticipated.
This is the first necessary step for the subsequent implementation of a second, more substantial update that will be released in the first half of March.
Therefore, the first upgrade will be preparatory for the next one.
The main new features in the coming days will primarily concern game and app developers, but will naturally have concrete effects for gamers as well.
Players will first notice an improvement in the quality of Kinect voice commands and an initial increase in speed.
Subsequently – with the March 2014 update – five main new features will be implemented.
The friends list will be reached and consulted more quickly and easily.
Secondly, when starting a party chat, audio will be activated concurrently, by default.
Regarding interaction with other gamers, you will be able to consult the “Recent Player” option to view the list of people you have played with recently.
Furthermore, the ability to invite a friend to play will be introduced, naturally for those titles that support multiplayer mode.
Finally, you will be able to chat with your contacts, even if you are not playing the same title.
At the moment, Microsoft plans to release this second update on March 11, which is also when the new multiplayer game “Titanfall” will be launched.
