Vodafone Booster is a solution that provides voice and web coverage even in areas not reached by mobile signal. Useful at home or for commercial activities, Vodafone Booster covers up to 500 square meters.
Vodafone has introduced today Vodafone Booster, a new device very useful to ensure UMTS/HSDPA coverage both for connection and telephony even in very large environments, inside which the signal is not sufficient or does not reach every desired point.
In fact, Vodafone Booster creates an access point to mobile networks, exploiting the recent technology of femtocells, an Alcatel-Lucent innovation.
For the operation of Vodafone Booster a broadband connection is necessary: the reference operator does not matter, since Booster is compatible also with other providers, not only with Vodafone.
The device is capable of supporting up to a maximum of eight connections at the same time and, specifically, it is possible thus to support both voice and data type connections.
Furthermore, it is possible to enable up to 32 Vodafone numbers which, in this way, will receive coverage from Vodafone Booster, whether it is voice SIM or data SIM.
Vodafone Booster will be on sale starting from April 18 at Vodafone stores and can be chosen in two different versions, depending on the size to cover:
- Vodafone Booster V2.0c, recommended for small offices, small commercial activities and apartments.
- Vodafone Booster V1.5e, designed for the needs of those who have medium-large companies or multi-story houses.
I Vodafone Booster prices for private individuals are as follows:
Vodafone Booster V2.0c, price: 169 euros;
Vodafone Booster V1.5e, price: 549 euros.
Vodafone offers companies and professionals with a VAT number a special solution for each model: Vodafone Booster V2.0c with a monthly contribution of 5 euros for 24 months excluding VAT, while regarding Vodafone Booster V1.5e, the monthly contribution is 19 euros, also in this case for 24 months, excluding VAT.
