Twitter, Two-Factor Security Verification Active

As anticipated, Twitter has implemented the new two-step security system for access: here’s how it works.

A few days ago on FullPress we talked about the new security system being studied by the Twitter staff. Today’s confirmation is that the new login method has been effectively implemented, in an effort to prevent account hijacking episodes.
To access your Twitter profile, you will need to have your mobile phone handy: in addition to entering the usual password, the system will require a second code, sent via SMS to the phone number provided in your account details.
Naturally, this will happen if you have indicated your user ID, and in any case, you can still update your data to enable this new, much more secure authentication system.
Simply leave the flag on “Require an access verification code” and proceed with the rest of the step-by-step illustrated procedure.
However, it should be noted that the two-step login procedure will be repeated every time you log out and wish to log back into the microblogging platform.

Therefore, your mobile phone will always be indispensable to use the social network.
At the moment, it appears that this novelty will only be in effect when connecting via the web, i.e., the desktop version.
There does not seem to be an obligation for this entry method for app access yet.
Before leaving readers to watch the presentation video of the new Twitter login system, we finally remind you of the tips to avoid account theft.
