HTC has just made an announcement regarding the release of a new smartphone, whose name is HTC Desire 600.
Taking a first look at its technical characteristics, one realizes that it is a mid-range device, so – although the company has not yet revealed anything about the selling price – one might expect a budget of around 300/350 euros.
The operating system is Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0 interface and the processor is definitely noteworthy: a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200, with Adreno 203 GPU.
The RAM is 1 GB, the internal memory is 8 GB, and there are two cameras available: the main one is 8 megapixels (capable of recording HD 720p video, while the secondary one is 1.6 megapixels.
The display is a 4.5-inch Super LCD2 type, with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.
The battery is a removable 1860 mAh and as for connectivity modules, there are ones for HSDPA, WiFi a/ac/b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, as well as NFC.
Its arrival on the target markets is expected in June, with initial distribution in Russia, Ukraine, and the Middle East.
