The new 12 TB and 14 TB models are helium-sealed hard drives that offer higher storage capacity in just 3.5 inches with lower energy consumption.
The 12 TB and 14 TB models have a rotation speed of 7,200 rpm and feature a 256 MB buffer. The N300 and X300 models use Toshiba Stable Platter technology to minimize vibrations by stabilizing the spindle motor on both sides for more accurate tracking and maximized performance during read and write operations.
The N300 series models are equipped with rotational vibration (RV) sensors and support workloads of up to 260 MB/s for the 14 TB and up to 253 MB/s for the 12 TB. Supporting multi-RAID systems of up to 8 HDDs, the new N300 models are highly scalable to adapt to users’ NAS configurations as storage needs change and the need to save and access large amounts of data arises.
