Here are some events and initiatives organized to remember Steve Jobs one year after his death. A new book is also available in bookstores and at newsstands. Details here.
One year after the passing of Steve Jobs, who died last October 5th, Italy has also thought of dedicating some special initiatives to remember the father of Apple.
First of all, in bookstores it is already possible to purchase a book with DVD entitled “Steve – Jobs – The Lost Interview“, published by Feltrinelli Real Cinema.
This is an interview given by Jobs almost twenty years ago, when the iPhone and iPad did not yet exist, except as projects and in the mind of a Steve who still appeared as a visionary but always very determined.
The book with DVD can also be purchased online, already available both on Amazon and on IBS.
The Corriere della Sera instead is releasing the instant book “One Year Without Steve Jobs“: it provides an assessment of these twelve months of Apple without its leader at the helm.
The paper version price is 4.90 euros but it is already possible to purchase the ebook on the Rizzoli website.
On Thursday, October 4th at 7:00 PM at the auditorium of the Maxxi in Rome there will be a free admission evening – but with limited seating – entirely focused on music, technology, design, and cinema: until 10:00 PM the happening “A tribute to Steve Jobs” will highlight the great personality of Jobs.
Moreover, until 6:30 PM it will be possible to visit a sort of mini-exhibition made up of a selection of cult objects: the Next Cube, some Macintosh computers, and the legendary Apple I.
Also, on the day of October 5th, within the framework of the Internet Festival in Pisa, an unreleased documentary titled “Gates vs Jobs: The Bit War” will be screened.
In the rest of the world, however, the unveiling of the wax statue of Steve Jobs by Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong has been reported; while, still from an editorial point of view, the magazineForbeshas dedicated a special, publishing some stories of Jobs’ friends that highlight completely new anecdotes and personality traits of Steve.
