Some previews are arriving regarding the release of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z2, Sony’s hypothetical new tablet.
Many rumors are beginning to circulate around the upcoming presentations to be held during Mobile World Congress 2014. The Barcelona event is indeed just a few days away from its inauguration, and the companies that will be present are clearly sharpening their tools to make the best impression.
In particular, in recent hours, talk has begun about Sony‘s next flagship tablet, which is expected to be named Sony Xperia Tablet Z2.
Recent rumors, disseminated by the usually well-informed staff at @evleaks, speak of a 10.1-inch tablet.
The operating system will very likely be Android 4.4 KitKat, and regarding the processor, the tweet released by @evleaks specifies it should be a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800.
3 GB will constitute the RAM, while the internal memory will be 16 GB, possibly expandable – though the maximum is not specified – via microSD card.
The display is said to feature Triluminos technology, with 1920 x 1080 pixels, and naturally, it will be Full HD.
Two cameras will be available: the main one reportedly 8 megapixels, and the front one 2 megapixels.
The battery housed should be confirmed at 6000 mAh, and finally, in terms of design specifics, a thickness of 6.4 millimeters is noted, along with the fact that the surface would be waterproof.
There is no confirmation from Sony, and most importantly, there is no price estimate: if all this is confirmed, more will be known next week in anticipation of the start of Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona.
