The Sony Xperia Tablet Z would be the name of the new tablet from Sony, set to be released soon: here are the first previews.
SonySonyis reportedly about to present a newtablet, whose name could be “Sony Xperia Tablet Z“: some rumors have indeed leaked, also relating to the technical characteristics, which lead us to believe that the release of this new device would be imminent.
To learn more and to physically see the tablet, it is likely that we will have to wait for the opening of the nextMobile World Congress 2013, the usual event for technological news taking place in Barcelona.
On this occasionSonycould reveal the novelty to the European market, which however is already beginning to be talked about, anticipating some features.
It would indeed be a 10.1-inch Full HD tablet (screen resolution 1920×1200 pixels), equipped with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
The processor will be a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 from 1.5 GHz, while the RAM will be 2 GB, with 32 GB of internal memory.
So far, excellent elements for talking about a high-end tablet.
There should be two cameras: the main one will be 8 megapixels, while the front one will be 2 megapixels; the photographic sector, therefore, would not leave anything to be desired either.
Connectivity will be complete and also include modules for LTE technology (ultra-fast 4G networks) and modules for NFC technology.
The body should also have been designed following the constituent elements of the coating of the brand newSony Xperia Z smartphone, whose presentation video – also posted here on FullPress – makes it fully understandable how much has been studied to ensure protection from water and dust.
From what has been learned so far about theSony Xperia Tablet Z, finally, it is possible to add that the supplied battery should be 6000 mAh to ensure a certain autonomy of use.
Not much else is known about this possible new tablet, but further details could arrive in the coming hours, given that the tablet could be announced in Japan before Europe.
The price of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is also unknown, but – based on the characteristics just outlined – one might expect a high-end figure.
