Sony PS Vita Slim: Price and European Release Confirmed

The news is official: the Sony PS Vita Slim will also arrive in Europe in the coming weeks. Details and price here.

The Sony PS Vita Slim will also be distributed in Europe: the confirmation, after the circulation of some rumors, comes directly from the parent company.
The arrival in stores in the Old Continent is scheduled starting from February, with sales initially commencing in the UK only and subsequently in all other European countries, including Italy.
However, there is a significant detail that has emerged in recent days: the Sony PS Vita Slim that will be launched in Europe will not feature an OLED screen; instead, the model that will be distributed will come equipped with a 5-inch LCD display.
Sony has stated that since the device was designed, LCD technology has vastly improved, leading to the decision to revert to it. Furthermore, the Sony staff indicates that the difference between OLED and LCD at present is so subtle that it is virtually imperceptible.

Another noteworthy change is the general restyling: the portable console is now thinner – by about 20% – and therefore also lighter – by 15% – compared to the previous model.
Finally, it is learned that the device’s battery life performance will also be improved, as the battery has been expanded.
Regarding the Sony PS Vita Slim price, it is understood that in Europe it will cost approximately 220 euros.
