Skype 5.0 Beta for Mac is now available for download with various new features and a completely new and refreshed look. The most significant news is the ability to make group video calls. We present the demonstration video of Skype 5.0 for Mac in beta.
Ready the beta of Skype 5.0 for Mac, a feature awaited by Mac users, who are now pleased. It starts with the graphics: the redesign focused on simplicity, both visually and in use. A clear example is having only one window available to make everything more streamlined. Additionally, the beta of Skype 5.0 for Mac includes integration with the Mac address book, making it easier to make calls, just as chatting and sending SMS messages becomes simpler, even if the recipient is offline.
Still speaking graphically, a new control bar is displayed at the top of the pages: from here you can end the call or set the “mute” mode. If the call is interrupted due to connection problems, there is the option to restore communication more quickly.
A keyword search system has also been enhanced to more easily retrieve conversations and chats.
Regarding contact management, a new scroll menu allows quick display of online contacts; you can also customize your user profile.
