Samsung WB850F, New Camera with Built-in Wi-Fi

The Samsung WB850F distinguishes itself as a true travel camera, incredibly useful for mobile sharing thanks to its Wi-Fi capability.

Among the latest innovations from Samsung’s photography labs comes the Samsung WB850F, a compact camera featuring built-in Wi-Fi.
This means that wherever you are, with an available connection, you can send photos just taken directly via email or to the main social networks.
At the same time, this camera can easily communicate wirelessly with your home or office PC, as well as with notebooks and netbooks.
Regarding other technical features that are of most interest to those seeking specific photography parameters, we highlight that the sensor is a 16.2 Megapixel Backside-Illuminated CMOS, accompanied by a rather powerful zoom: it’s a 21x zoom (equivalent to 23-483mm) from Schneider-Kreuznach.
You can use this camera with automatic settings, but manual controls are also available, so the usage mode is at the user’s discretion.
In addition to having built-in Wi-Fi, this camera can indicate your location and provide a Map View service, thus always tracking a sort of travel route.
All this is made possible by the integrated GPS system, also useful for geotagging photos just taken. Finally, another feature included is the digital compass.
Everything can be monitored via the bright screen, a 3.0-inch AMOLED display.
As is now standard in the industry, this camera is also capable of producing and playing back 720p HD videos.
The release and sale are scheduled for April, and regarding the price of the Samsung WB850F, it is estimated to be around 350 euros, however, it should be noted that this has not been officially confirmed.
